Rev limiter?

This morning I had to really punch it while merging into traffic and heard this weird gurgling sound from the engine as it hit 6500 rpms. Any thoughts what this could be?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Hmmm

Well, when I drive to work, my stomach gurgles. Maybe you could try givin' the old SVX a pop tart to calm the gurgling. That usually helps me. I don't know what this gurgling is, but I've had it happen before with my SVX. If memory serves, it was under fairly cold conditions. Hasn't caused any problems yet, so I don't worry about it. Wish I could give you some real info, but, honestly, I just wanted to make my Pop-Tart statement

It hasn't occured often enough that I can even remember when it last happened. Maybe 2 or 3 times is all. I don't really even take note of it anymore

How about coolant in the heater core? That might gurgle occasionally.

Mine only happened this one time today but I will surely test it again on the way home.

The sound was similar to a gurgle but it was not fluid related.
