ABS control unit question

Copied from Manual...does this mean the control unit must always have been stored upright after removal ? Does some component get buggered..?..and finally, I don't see how the unit could be anything but upright during removal/installation !!

HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT
NOTE: DO NOT place hydraulic control unit upside-down or on its
side during removal or installation procedure.

Re: ABS control unit question

They are usually shipped with some fluid in them and caps on them. It would probably just take more bleeding if you turned it upside down.
