5 speed swap now bouncing idle
Converted my 94L to 5 speed and AWD.. before the conversion the idle was not bouncing. Now after the swap it at times bounces so much that is dies.
I have adjusted the Idle with a volt meeter and it still will bounce. Needforspeed told me that he remembers that some members had the same problems but couldn't remember the fix.. I tried to search for if but found nothing specific. Would any one have the link to a old thread or might know the problem? Thanks. Izack

I am still trying to figure mine out.
It could be lots of things... maf... vacuum leak... egr problem... on and on.

Normally mine is 700 but it will change and be 1000 for one stop light then back to 700 the next. When my MAF was bad it jumped around a little.

Did you remove the TB from the engine during the trans swap? Have you gone back and checked each harness connector you disconnected during the swap to make sure none of the pins got tweaked and that the connectors are firmly re-mated? Have you checked to make sure you don't have an air leak where the snorkus mates to the TB?

No I didn't remove the TB I just took out the whole engine way eayser to do the swap. But I have gone back and checked everything. And all is good

So I noticed today that when it started up I smelt excess fuel out the exhaust like its running rich.. So maybe it is the maf?
