I guess Trevor is the only one who doesn't have blond hair and blue eyes. I wonder which mod. checked his "other hair" to be sure.

When reading important or technical threads, I skip Trevor's posts, just too annoying and distracting, and in my opinion, inhibit others from participating or sharing thoughts, or knowledge.

I would have felt better about this is if the entire forum were allowed in this vote. I thought it was supposed to be verbal warning/warning/time-out/ then banned right?

Trevor has been temporarily banned before.

Trevor has been warned about 100 times over several YEARS from EACH of the mods and admins.

And as stated above, he was temp banned and since picked up where he left off.

You should also note that the initial vote to ban was taken well over 4 MONTHS ago. We tried, and tried, and tried, and tried, and tried, ad naseum to not have to ban him.

This is his own doing.

Ok gotcha, thats totally fair. It's really a shame someone with his technical prowness had to push the limits so much. His input will be missed, minus the bickering.

As many have stated, I saw this coming for quite awhile now, more than just months. It's a shame that it came to this. He will be missed for his great technical input but at the same time, I think many of us here will be glad that there is now a much lower chance that a thread asking for help or info will be filled up with 2+ pages of arguing and "poo throwing".

For anyone who may question the mod's decision, just remember that they are able to see all the stuff that goes on "behind the scenes" as well as the fact that as Chris said, he was warned and given every chance possible and more to remain a member here. I'm sure it was a very tough decision to come to.

That is all I have to say on this for now.

Hmm, on nabisco, when people get banned, nobody says anything and they just are banned.

I kind of like the transparency of the matter, but I don't know if I like everybody having input in it. People are badmouthing the guy and he can't even fight back.

this thread is merely to inform the public about why the ban was placed. It also allows people to air their relief or grievances for the action taken.

In the case of Trevor, I had been on his side of a lot of arguments of technical nature in the past. I have agreed with him on many occasions and his input in many matters had great significance.

Simple fact, he refused to EVER admit he was wrong even when he clearly was. When he found himself stuck in a "technical discussion" he would blur the subject so much that the topic would turn to something totally different rendering the OP's search for answers or even clues totally and utterly useless.

Trevor also had a personality very similar to my own... He was very straight forward and a no nonsense kind of guy. Problem is, it was provoked by anything and everything, which caused major issues with the general public.

He was a bull in a china shop. Once in a while you really need something heavy moved... But for the remaining time **** just kept getting broken.

I am sorry to see someone with such valuable input cast out but it was also my vote that he was. To be able to get someone so infuriated with nonsensical comments and side steps is a true talent... Just not one appreciated here where people are looking for short concise answers

I support the decision as he just burnt up so much time.

On the cooling thread I was getting ready to walk away from posting and work with Matt and Steve in the back ground to improve the cooling. I happen to like Trevor but the contiued insults we giving me the Sh__ts.
Every person deserves to be treated with respect and that is a fact of life.

I have a couple of threads or responses and back and forths with Trevor but other than some temporary exasperation over the immediate disagreements I did find him to be very smart and knowledgeable.

I see why the mods made their decision and also see why it was probably a difficult personal decision for them to make. I believe mods did what was needed for the over all good of the forum as a whole and not a personal attack or to gang up on him.

Hopefully some new threads will start showing with new ideas and breathe some fresh life into the cars and the forum.

It may come as a bit of a shock you most of you out there - but Trevor's wife was in an SVX accident 2 weeks ago (it is actually her car) - so he is looking for bonnet, headlights (not sure if glass or plastic), side markers, radiator fans + plastic holding pieces + some small other pieces, his insurance is going to write car off....

I have supplied him with contacts, but I know he would like to not pay the earth within NZ.

Any other help "may" calm him down...
