Re: Rebuilt Power Steering Pump

Eric,
Anyway I could get 2 rebuilt pumps from you and then send you my old pumps? Drop me a PM. I'm not in a rush, so maybe next time you're over on this side of the Pax....

Re: Rebuilt Power Steering Pump

I've still got my core in my car lying around after installing the new one you built for me. I'll have to get it boxed up and send you a PM for the address since I've lost it (only real reason I've strayed from sending it back).

I'll try and get on that this weekend

Re: Rebuilt Power Steering Pump

Eric,
Okay, PS pump is off of RacerX. Just need to buy a T-40 bit with a socket attached so I can get the tank off of the pump and then it's off to UPS!

Sounds good, you don't have to remove the reservoir, I can do that when I get it.

What, and miss an opportunity to buy another tool I'll only use once or twice in my life?
It'll be in the mail this weekend (with reservoir attached....)

Re: Rebuilt Power Steering Pump

My steering pump went out and I called Advanced Auto Parts, they quoted me 68 dollars plus a 30 dollar core. Is there something I am missing? Are the original's rebuilt that much better or something of that sort?

Re: Rebuilt Power Steering Pump

I will send anyone who wants the How-To on the Power Steering Rebuild.

I can’t post the Power Steering rebuild because it is too big for the site now. We are going to fix it, but I thought I could send it to you now. Sorry it took so long.

Did you actually get one for that price, and install it, and it works for the SVX? because their site shows nothing for the pump. Autozone sells one for $134+60 core

If you did get this pump from advance auto, and did install it and it works, please share the part number as this would be of interest to many people here...
