Decal removal

How do I safely remove the AWD decals on the doors and trunk lid? I notice that most of the pics of others cars I see on here dont have the AWD decals and I like it better without.

do not remove the awd stickers
if you do and you get towed w/o them using a flatbed the tow company is not responsiblie, if you have them and they tow your car w/o flatbed, they are responsible
remember if you tow an awd car w/ 2 wheels off the ground, and 2 rolling it will kill the diff's, and cost you a pretty penny, so you want to make sure that it's the tow companies fault and not yours

but if you still wnat to remove any badging or stickers, i recomend a hair dryer, and a credit card, then wd40 to remove the sticky goo

Hmm I didnt know that. I might pick up one of those tiny ones for the rear window like is on the WRX. Wouldnt any wise tow person just look under the car to make sure? Just seems like common sense.

Hehehe, that's funny! Good one.

Remember...tow people already know what they are doing and don't need to be told how to do their job.

First of all, nobody's gonna tow my car without me being there. Secondly, when I call a tow service, I specifically say, "This is an all-wheel drive car so you'll need to send a roll-back." So far, nobody has shown up with anything less (I've had to have it towed twice).

There is a product called "Goo Gone" that will easily remove the stickers and will not hurt your paint. Don't get it on your leather, though. It's an orange oil based product.

You can also use dental floss to cut through the backing material of the emblem and rub off ehat remains using your finger, then cleaning with a cleaner/wax or tar remover.

My answer to the AWD sticker problem was this: I has a vinyl graphics company cut frosted, translucent vinyl lettering in reverse to apply to the inside of my side glass. Light still passes through the lettering and it looks as if it was etched into the glass. Pics in my locker:

My concern would be it being towed without my permission... Like if I were parked illegally.

If you're parked ILLEGALLY, they don't NEED your permission. If you don't park ILLEGALLY, then, you won't have that worry. Just don't park illegally.

don't abandon your car on the highway if somehting dies either,

anyway, it's best to leave an awd sticker on there somewhere,

the worry is NOT about knowledgable tow personal, it's the unknowledgable ones you gotta look out for, and they're out there don't doubt it
don't need any kind of education to drive a tow truck, all you need is a tow truck.
