new car arrived yesterday

Well I got my 2006 Impreza 2.5i yesterday afternoon. Spent this morning practicing on hills and stuff like that. Slowly getting the hang of it. I'm sooo afraid of hurting the clutch or burning it im trying to be extra cautious. My friends are all telling me not to worry since its brand new and clutch's dont get destroyed after 30 miles . Digital camera broke so here is a few camera phone shots.

Congrats!

Congrats, Tom. Looks good!

Christine is still running well, I'm taking good care of her. She still has that hesitation under light throttle, Tom hasn't had a chance to look at her closely and we haven't gotten our Select Monitor back (Tom lent it to someone, I can't remember who) so we can't diagnose her. Also, it doesn't seem like the torque converter is locking up -- the RPM's are too high for the MPH compared to my other (stock-geared) SVX. Not a big problem, but it probably will affect the gas mileage.

Good luck with the new car and keep in touch!

BTW, I'm not a fan of altezza's either, so I can't wait to see yours without them.

The other Tom mentioned this to me on saturday about the TC not locking up. I never had that problem at all...it always locked up for me. Maybe because Tom adjusted the TPS..maybe that has something to do with it ...I do have a big tranny cooler in there also.

Btw, congrats on the purchase Tom! You should also consider getting the low-profile WRX spoiler. It looks super hot on a 2.5i! Don't worry about burning up the clutch or damaging the trans - you'll be fine! However, drive her nice and easy for the first 500-1,000 miles and change the oil BEFORE you start taking her to redline.
