Driver's Side Window Stuck Down

Hello all,

Coming back from lunch today, I had my window down. When I got back to my office, I was surprised to see that the window would not go back up. When I move the window switch in either direction, i hear a click coming from the switch, but no movement. Does that sound like the window motor?

window switch

Try rocking the switch. Push down (hard) with your thumb on the pivot point of the little switch, and pull up on the front of the switch with your forefinger. Works on mine, every time...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already tried that. I have to do that to get my passenger-side window to go up and down sometimes. This is definitly something different. I can hear something that sounds like a relay kick on when i push the switch in and kick off when i release it.

Sounds to me like you broke your "sleeve lock regulator," a $12 piece of plastic that's about an inch long.

THat's my thought as well. You'll be able to remove the door panel and see the cable right away.

If it's broken the window will be loose and you'll be able to lift it by hand.
