it will probably be a little more than $179, due to the limited number of 96/97 SVX's. it will STILL be the best bang-for-the-buck performance upgrade you can buy for the SVX.........if it gets made?!?!?!?

edit: just saw that you have a '93 - this is the signup for 96/97 OBDII-equipped SVX's. there is a stage1 upgrade available for you already for $179 - see the ECUtune stage1 review thread or do a search for more info on it.

will the OBDII stage 1 become a reality? just a simple yes or no? i'm flip-flopping every day about my car situation - if you're doing the OBDII deal, i'm going to order some new wheels, paint my rear bumper, and enjoy the SVX for a few more years. if not, its STi time!

thumbs up/thumbs down......please?
OBDII stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, and stage 4 will become a reality. Just hang tight and I'll let you know what we've got for you when we've got it. A note to everyone else, don't consider this a dead thread. Continue signing up.

Stage 4 will be the supercharger on a built engine. We've already researched and sourced close decking the block and je forged pistons to drop the compression ratio to 8.5. This will allow either using the nitrous on the supercharged engine or supercharging for more horsepower.

If not too late. Sign me up.

I have a 96, so I'm pretty sure it will need the OBDII. (I also have a 92, but I think it uses another type of ECU.)

After I convert to a OBDII Stage I, do I understand correctly that I can upgrade to the OBD Stage II, when it becomes available?

You're not too late. Nothing has been made for the OBDII cars yet...

To answer your question about upgrading to the Stage 2 later, yes it can be done and Longassname says it'll be at a discounted price (if you've already bought the Stage 1).

Don't confuse the OBDI and OBDII with Stage I and Stage II. OBD stands for On Board Diagnostic System. OBDI ecu's (engine control unit) were in all SVX's through 1995. Starting in 1996 the ecu's were OBDII ecu's. This thread is a sign up for Stage I performance code for OBDII ecu's. It's a sign up because we haven't developed the products for the OBDII ecu's. We do however already offer both Stage I and Stage II for your 92 SVX. Visit our website at http://www.ecutune.com/subaru_svx.htm

Thanks for the clarification!

Actually, I meant "can I upgrade to the OBDII Stage II when it becomes available", but my fingers screwed up!

Anyway, I'm very interested, so count me in.

Keep me posted!
