Steering rack problem

Hi everyone

did anyone have problem with steering rack beein lose?

mine is and i failed wof coz of that. They told me that some ball joints or watever are bad there and i need to get the rack out and repress that rack end...

well dunno if makes any sence, but how to i get the rack out?

Oh evil one,

Rack is loose? That's 4 bolts that hold it to the sub frame. How much "play" do you have in the steering wheel? I think 5/8" motion is the limit at the top of the wheel, actually any where on the wheel. There is an adjustment for the rack and pinion "backlash". Tie rods bad maybe? Grab the front of the tire and push it in and out. Do you hear a knock and feel play? No use taking out the rack if it's not leaking.
