fuel injectors

I was reading some ware that the fuel injectors used on the svx motor are the same as the ones used on other 2.2 Subaru engines.
Is this right?
If so after market injectors would fit svx motors.

I though the Nismo injectors would fit from a Q45 or something?

Yes, the Nismo injectors fit, but they are 550 cc/min capacity which is too high for the SVX motor unless you've got the motor pumping out 400 HP.

so is there any one who could find out if older 2.2 subaru motor injectors would fit.

I think the 92 legacy trubo injectors have a higher cc then the stock SVX injectors.

well I got the part number for the svx injectors

16611AA310 from www.subaruparts.com

www.1stsubaruparts.com

lists part # 16611AA310 as fitting

i heard you can swap in legacy turbo injectors for the na 2.2 liter.

So I guess thats a yes then. Well thats good , if I do trace my starting hesitation down to my injectors I have like 8 spares I could use.

now that we know the SVX and legacy injectors are the same.

What would hapen if I put turbo legacy injectors in my svx?
would I get to much fuel in to motor or would the ecu shortin the pules and ajust to the bigger injectors.

Not that I would do this any way. I just don't know anything about motor moding and I don't want to messup my car.

The idea behind upping the fuel pressure instead of installing larger injectors is that the higher fuel pressure causes the injectors to spray a finer mist. But I have a question for you. You've got an a/f ratio meter on your car. Does it read rich, stoich, or lean at WOT?

I don't know the gauge goes blank at WOT. I have not found out why yet.

Hmmm. That's a bit odd. What about at something like 1/2 throttle which should also be open-loop conditions? Have you tried reading O2 sensor #1? Have you tried reading the O2 sensor signal using a voltmeter? That might help you to understand what's happening.
