What is this and why is it here??

So I have an airbag light on in my 92 SVX and I've read that there's a wire somewhere that just decides it wants to disconnect and thus causes that light to come on. I've searched for this mysterious wire to no avail, but, I have come across a suspicious looking pair of wires that may be causing battery drain or other electrics issues I'm having. Check it out. On the left side panel under the steering wheel. Two blue metal wires that stick out like a sore thumb (or two) Btw the airbag fuses are fine. So where is the yellow wire I hear of??

those are the wires you use to go into self test mode and display diagnostic codes.

Have you figured out how to adjust the tilt wheel yet? That is the other one that usually gets people feeling dumb when they figure it out. (Myself included) Hint it is not the lever that you can easily see.

have you figured out the air bag yet? the only connector I could think of would be the one that goes up through the clockspring.

Speaking of the clock spring does your horn work? blinkers and other steering wheel controls?

The abs connector is yellow, I believe there are 3 wires going through it and it will be right up under the dash at the steering column

Have not figured out the airbag. I'm unsure of what's going on with that. The light is not blinking, it is just on flat. And as for the wheel, I know how to put it up to make moving in and out of the car easier, but I wasn't aware there was also a tilt option. Huh!

Look under the steering column there is lever, pull it out and the steering wheel will move up and down, push it back in to lock the new position in place.
