Parking light switch with dead bulb..

Removed the parking light/side mirror defrost switch from dash and can't figure out how to access the P-light dead bulb (1992 SVX LS-L)...where do I pry..?....near the top flap where wires exit or next to the switch push . I assume the wires disconnect via a connector further upstream from the switch.

Much appreciate any answer and a picture would be great !

Re: Parking light switch with dead bulb..

I got the green backlight bulb out and fixed, quarter turn off holder on case...it's the switch ON bulb that has me stuck. Can't see how dissassembly isn't necessary to get to that one.

Re: Parking light switch with dead bulb..

Believe it or not, there were some 1992 cars without an "on" indicator in the parking light switch. I had one of these. there was an indentation in the switch, but no lens.

I believe that was changed the following year. I had my 1992 and 1996 switches outvand side by side and I couls see the small lens added that lit up amber, with the parking switch depressed.

Re: Parking light switch with dead bulb..

Right you are..got a light and a pair of specs on and the Parking switch has the "dent' but no lens. Wonder if the wiring to the back of these 2 types of switches was the same as far as 12V feeds? Thanks for saving me from probably destroying the switch for naught.
