Tranny strip!

Hi there,
I have just started to strip my transmission and have taken the valve block out and removed the rear differential case.
Can anyone tell me how to remove the main unit without doing any damage!!?
Help, help, help!!

Merci beaucoup - well I am in France!!

Ron, you're forging ahead with a task that I will likely attempt on my old tranny once the new one is in place and moving the car correctly. I look forward to hearing of your endeavor, and please document what you can.

As for specifically answering your question, sorry, but I can't help - I've never done it! Do you have a service manual yet? I highly recommend one, as it would likely save you a lot of work, probably warning you about problems before you encounter them. It may even save you money.

Best of luck, and keep us updated!

You might want to go slow and take pictures. You might need them when it goes back together. Please also note that your right wheeled car has a different tranny than all of US left wheeled tranny guys from the USA. We don't have a from to rear dif we got clutch pack.
