Inoperable Power Antenna

Hello,

Hopefully someone here on the network has experienced this problems and can help me. My power antenna for the stereo is stopped at about half way down. The antenna will not move up or down. I do not hear any sound indicating the motor is running. I am also unable to manually pull the antenna up or push the antenna back down.

Is there a fuse that controls the motor?

Has the motor just failed and I need to replace it?

Will I have the replace both the motor and mast or can the old mast be reused?

If replacement is required do I need to get the part/s from the dealer or would an aftermarket part work just as well.?

Would trying to acquire a used part be advisable?

Your problem has been discussed before. Try doing a search and see what you learn unless of course someone jumps in here before your post hits the next page. Not that that ever happens.
