THE WORST day of a man's LIFE......

A dear friend af mine was driving a fire truck in the local Halloween parade.

As he rounded a turn at 'parade' speed, his girlfriend's 12 year old son FELL off the firetruck and landed UNDER the tire! He ran over the boy's legs! He stopped the firetruck, stepped out of the cab, saw the broken 12 year old on the ground with broken bones sticking out of his jeans and proceeded to have a HEART ATTACK and fell to the ground too.

I have called everyone that we both know and the best info I have been able to come up with is that the boy is 'better off' than me friend!

We need some PRAYERS shot off into the direction of Wiley's Ford! Scott really didn't need this. He has spent 22 of his 37 years of life riding the ambulance, fixing OTHER peoples mistakes and problems and never caused one of his own.

Oh...my...gosh...

that is probably one of the most tragic things I have ever heard.

My thoughts are out for both of them.

Update....

Scott is home and doing OK. His 'heart attack' was caused by DEEP feelings of guilt and remorse. It turned out not to be a real one, but was close enough to qualify at the scene.
The boy will recover, with the help of modern medicine. It will be a while before he's ready to go snow boarding. Thank you all for caring...
