wheel/tire question (volvo/svx)

okay, so some may know, my svx is totalled and being parted out... so i bought my stepdads passat vr6... and HE bought a 95 volvo 850 turbo...

he has 16'' wheels with not much tread (on his volvo)
my svx has 16'' wheels with expensive tires and good tread
do the wheels bolt up by chance? anybody know volvos? havent been able to figure out the bolt pattern or offset yet...

their size are 16x6 and the tires are 195/60/16 mine are 225/50/16... how much off would his speedo be?
any answers to this question would be great, thanks

Not sure exactly but I believe volvo bolt pattern is 5x120 and svx is 5x114.3 so no they will not fit. You may however be able to shoehorn those tires on, I canot be sure of this tho.

k, i found some info, looks like volvo is 5x108... no-go on that, but the tires rotational size would only be like 1.4% off... or .8 mph/60... so that sounds like it'd be okay...

Your speedometer will read a tiny bit higher than the actual speed with the shorter SVX tires.

The Volvo wheel will be 5 x 108 as stated and the front wheel drive 850 series have a 40mm offset.

looks like im'a give him my fat 225's for his volvo, with good tread, the eagle gt-hr's will do fine in the winter right? his tires are "okay" but not great... (he gave me brand new fuzions and a spare set of wheels with hakka 2's on the vw he sold me)
