Question Video Editing Software

OK, I have a digital camera.

It records video and audio.

The format it outputs is .mov

I would like the ability to edit these.

Would Apple's Quick Time Pro be good for this, or some other product?

The reason for editing is to be able to post/stream on the web from a website that I host.

What kind of camera is it?

Adobe Premiere is probably the most common but probably the steepest learning curve.

.MOV is an odd format for a camera to output. Most are just DV and the output format is selected in software.

You can always start off with the built-in movie editors (Windows Movie Maker for PC and iMovie for Mac).

Kodak Easy Share (insert random number here)

It outputs in Quick Time files basically (.mov)

I dont have the $500+ for Adobe Premeire

I tried windows movie maker and we all know that it doesnt support .mov files

I was considering using Apple's Quick Time Pro as I dont need all the bells and whistles, as its only $30.

Hmmm...how attached are you to that camera?

I would recommend one that can output .mpg files which have the best chance of playing on most platforms.
