Let me know how it goes if you get the chance.

Gimme a call sometime.

I wish I could be there Young Tom.
It looks like my first time to the strip will be next Sunday at Hagerstown.
And Mason-Dixon in Hagerstown is only an hour away for me.
May the HorsePower gods smile upon you!

Spoke with TomsSVX...

...and there wasn't a drop of rain at the track, but just 5 cars had shown up. As a result, management at Atco decided to close the track for the evening.

So Tom and Mike got no runs at all...

Doesn't pay to open the track for 5 cars. When you pay all the emergency personnel and other track people.

I don't care, if you are open for business ur open. That was a BS call and I will never got there again except to claim my rain-date ticket. looks like E-town is where it's at from now. Mike drove all the way up to race and when the track was ready and we waited an hour to race only to be turned away, it is no longer worth my while to go there. I am pissed that they shut us down.

How much farther is Englishtown for you? Maple Grove isn't that far from where we held Reading VII. Sucks you didn't get to run.

Yeah, it kinda sucks that we didn't get to run. I will prob be heading out there next week to collect my rain check. Oh well, this gives me plenty of time this upcomming week to do another test run and make sure I don't go Boom

I agree with Tom. The track was ready at 5pm, the people were there, and the weather was fine. They usually start the runs at 5pm. They waited til 6pm then canceled. The rain didnt even start for another hour after that. And they were still tacking peoples money coming in as we were leaving?? What really pissed me off is the fact that they refuse to return my money! I get a rain check and thats it.

I wouldn't go to maple grove. They no longer want to bother with letting the SCCA run autoxs on their very nasty parking lot... Not because of any issues. It was just too much work to pay someone to open the gates and stick around from 7am-5pm. The $1500 in cash they got just wasn't worth it.

I'll never give them a dime.
