not as difficult as it sounds
try putting a joiner between the 2 heater hoses at the fire wall Subarus are prone to leaking heater cores which expel through drain pipe below firewall so you dont see or smell it. Mind you i discovered this by destroying an engine and a heater core. Then i found the mechanic who knew the answer [BUGGA]
