all you have to do is read brian steele's post.
smoother shifts mean more friction. friction means heat. heat means $3000 for a new tranny.
when i first did the resistor mod it did shift a little rough from 1-2. but now that i have had it like this for about 10,000 miles it is not even noticeably really. i have gotten used to the flashing power light. i guess only time will tell. it is really a matter of personal preference i guess. i am just trying to eliminate as much heat as possible. i would much rather replace a tranny mount then replace the whole tranny.
