Link to list of compatible 5MT transmissions
Guys, its been a couple years since I've been on the site. I looked around but can't find a comprehensive list of compatible 5MT's that I can swap in. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I have a 2002 wrx 5mt currently installed but have issues with a leaky shaft seal. Tried replacing it and the shaft bearing to no avail (and yes, I was using a new pilot bearing). Looking for the latest model subaru 5MT I can use, if possible. Thanks in advance! ...Marc Last edited by svxcuseme; 04-15-2018 at 07:28 AM. |

Re: Link to list of compatible 5MT transmissions
I may be going out on a limb here. Unless something changed in the past few years. , all Subaru tranny should bolt to that bell housing. So WRX 2002 to present should work.

Re: Link to list of compatible 5MT transmissions
I think all EJ series trannies work, but some of the newer ones have different style axles, that may not be compatible.....if they have a stub sticking out for the axle, they should work (the old EA series stuff does NOT work)
