SVX on the beach 08 ,NJ

Well, its that time of year again.....The next new jersey beach meet! This year,as with last, its going to be held at:

Island Beach State Park on September 6th, 2008. Starting roughly 11am till you go home. There is a park entry fee of 5$

We will be located in lot 15, roughly 6.7 miles from the park entrance. Keep an eye out for my obnoxiously red svx on the left and you'll see where we all are. If you need an adress for mapquest directions, gps, ect, it should be saved in as island beach state park, but if you need directions otherwise, give me a call at (609) 339-6245

Last year, for those who didnt make it, we held it at Island Beach State Park near seaside, NJ. We met up deep into the park at a small, nearly uninhabited parking lot and hiked a short distance to the beach, where we had refreshments, a grill churning out burgers and shish kabobs, and enough chit chat to last into the evening. cars, the beach, good food, good people...What else could you want?

This year, id love to see a bigger turnout and less wind, and perhaps if anyone stays well into the night, a trip to the boardwalk would be in order

BTW saw on the sign today... Alchoholic Beverages are prohibited.... SOOOOOOO looks like we will be drinking carbonated apple juice and OJ in plastic cups!!

That's what we ALWAYS drink -- only it's GRAPE juice (white grape juice, yeah, that's it....)

I'm checking out the weather report and it says rain. Are we cancelling if the weather's bad, or will there be a rain date?

It looks like the hurricane will be here on saturday. The news just said it will be in the tri-state area by saturday afternoon/evening.

Although I don't really have a complete answer to the pending weather conundrum, I will be in the area anyway, and would welcome any company that would like to come by the shop for a rain-or-shine meet-greet/ off road venture, should the weather be REALLY bad (best weather for off roading). I don't know if we should make a rain date for the following weekend or what?

Any ideas?

Any weekend is good for me...I have no problem making a trip in the rain but if its a heavy downpour i won't be able to make it.

I'm there, rain or shine. It only effects what vehicle I bring. Red pit + rain = fun!

If it's rain and pit fun we're having, don't feel obligated to take your SVX! I'm sure we can accomidate you on at least a ride-a-long in one of the vehicles that is more designed for that sort of abuse. Red pit is NOT svx friendly! But there is sufficient parking at the shop and space for a good time, with periodic trips out and about!
