Thumbs up The droolfest at Lehigh University

Did anyone besides me attend the Concours d'Elegance of the Eastern US this Saturday at the Lehigh campus in Bethlehem, PA?
What a show! From a 1908 Stanley Steamer to 1989 Ferrari Testarossa, with about 100 cars in between, including two 1935 Duesenbergs, a few dozen 20's & 30's Rolls Royces, Pierce Arrows, Cords, Packards, Bentleys, Jags, and a bunch of '60s muscle cars; this was the ultimate eye candy event for car freaks. It's an annual event, so keep that SVX cherry - in 20 years maybe one of us will drive the promenade at this show.

Ron. (I especially liked the Pierce Arrow with the ostrich skin upholstery. 27 of the big birds donated their services).

Ostrich skin upholstery!

P.S. Sounds like you had a blast. Glad to hear you're being productive with your time...

When I saw the topic, I thought it was a link to one of 'those' sites

Ron! You were only a couple miles away and you did not even let me know you'd be in town?? Shame on you! Next time you are in my neck of the woods do let me know.

I actually was unaware of this event. I've never seen it advertised anywhere but it sounds like a really good time. Maybe next year I will go if I catch wind of it ahead of time. And if you are going next year, be sure to let me know in advance and I can plan on attending it with you. You could even have stopped by the house for dinner.

Johnny

As you may know, Johnny, I NEVER turn down a free lunch, but I was with old friends (most of my friends are old), from Princeton, & we drove up just for the event. To learn more about the show go to www.concourseast.org. I'll expect to see you there next year. Bring wine & cigars.

Ron.
