starter cranking slow.

Sometimes when hot... very hot my starter lags.
Cranks very slow.
Almost like it wont start... but it always starts... for now.
I have been told to check the big ground wires.
I have replaced the ground wire underneath the battery, the one to the bell housing, and cleaned the tiny one on the fire wall.
Wheat are the locations of the other wires I should I check and clean (or replace)?

If you have checked the two big leads to the starter, the battery terminals, and they are ok, then I would check the battery for a bad cell.

Re: starter cranking slow.

If you have access to a known good starter you could always swap it in to try out. Starters usually just pack it in one day and won't turn anymore, but I had one that gradually got weaker over time. A new starter fixed everything right up. There are a lot of things that can make a starter misbehave, but sometimes it's just the starter.

Re: starter cranking slow.

Make sure the battery terminals and cable ends are clean. Sometimes you cant see the corrosion on the outside of the connections. Remove the cable from the battery posts and check the inner side.
