5MT in Colorado Springs Pull and Pay

I am sadly getting rid of my svx now, but while I was looking around getting all the remaining odds and ends I needed to get it ready for sale I came across a pearlie at the Colorado Springs U-Pull-&-Pay. It had a 5 speed manual swap. I'm pretty sure it was from new jersey (surprise, surprise), had military stickers from Fort Carson, and a 'svx world network' sticker. Anyway, I thought I'd give someone a heads up about it, because I'm sure you could pull all the 5MT swap parts for dirt cheap. If it was 2 years ago I would have already had it out and into my car, but I'm putting my efforts towards my 4runner these days. Anyways, good luck to anyone who wants it!

Man I envy you. Ever since I moved from the Springs I have missed it terribly.

Yup, it was a Pearlie. It looked like someone put a lot of work into it and it didn't seem to have been in an accident so I'm not sure why it was there. I can try and get the VIN next time I'm down there. I figured it was someone from this forum with the sticker and how well it was cared for. Oh, and it did have aftermarket seats IIRC

I'm up in Fort Collins these days, but I'm from Colorado Springs so I go down there every now and then. I know it's lame, but I don't think I ever want to leave Colorado. It just rocks too much (no pun intended)

Re: 5MT in Colorado Springs Pull and Pay

I'm going to head there in the morning and check it out. I've always thought about doing the 5 speed swap, wouldn't be a bad thing to have it all ready for *when* my auto gives up.

Re: 5MT in Colorado Springs Pull and Pay

Could you tell what was wrong with the car for it to end up in the bone yard?

Re: 5MT in Colorado Springs Pull and Pay

Felt like the engine was locked up, it didn't budge once while taking the flywheel bolts off. That's the only thing I could figure.
