Re: Great deal on snow tires!

I don't remember I-5 being shut down because of snow in the last 17 years I have lived in WA. And driving 70-80 in the snow is assanine. I make at least 30 trips a year up to Stevens pass and have plenty of snow driving experience. My 2 cents is that better tires are just that...better. My kuhmos love to slip in the snow. AWD doesn't help out one bit with out traction.

Edit: how do you set someone to ignore?

Near the top left corner of the page is a link to "User CP"...click on that. Then look down the left side under "Miscellaneous" for "Buddy/Ignore Lists"...click on that. Enter the user name in the ignore section and click on save.

You don't remember I-5 north between Fife and Tukwilla being shut down once in the last 17 years?
Actually I didn't claim that you would. I remember, my wife remembers... 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

I have mentioned several times that "we pray a lot".

i drove the LGT home at midnight during the "Great Storm" of 2010. the roads had some plowing done earlier, so the snow was only 2-3 feet deep. i had to take a detour around a main road that has a slight incline to it (cars were scattered all over it like a skating rink) and go up a STEEPER hill. many cars were just parked in the middle of the roads.

i made it home, but the snow in my driveway was up over my bumper, so i had to park it in the middle of my street and dig out a spot for my car at 1AM.

What a beautiful peaceful scene, Alan!

Deep snow certainly changes the equation with our Low cars!

No tires work when the SVX becomes a snow plow!

They have been relisted but instead of $50.00 free shipping they are $69.00 plus $15.00 shipping each.

That is still a very good deal. The best deal I had found prior to this was a guy in Buffalo selling 225/50R16 WS-50s (older) for $110 but taking best offers as low as $90 and I think he was charging $18 for shipping. By the way, the re-list showed $12.00 shipping so it depends on your location.
