Nice to see that your local branch are taking you so seriously. Subaru GB didn't bother to turn up for our meet.

I also sent them a CD with meet pictures and a write up, but they have not bothered to reply. Maybe they don't like the taste of my vinegar?

Andy,

Suby GB gave you about the same treatment that SOA gave me. They basically wanted SIA to handle things. I guess SIA sent some nice reports about us back to SOA.

I guess that SOA does not have really good marketing people working for them. I also feel that SOA is a "top down organization." So the lower and middle management people are afraid to take any initiative. I don't think that they have learned from the botched marketing effort for the SVX resulting in a sales fiasco and large losses.

I n a way, we SVXers are really lucky. If Subaru had marketed the SVX properly and the car had sold well, today we would be looking at $50-$60 K for a new SVX and none of us could afford to buy the used ones. God certainly works in strange ways.

I recommend you read "Where the Suckers Moon" great book about the failed marketing program for the SVX and Legacy. VERY good read if you're into that kinda thing.
