Chike,
You might want to look into some STi springs before you do the sway bar.
Congrats on the win!

Not legal to do springs in a stock class. The front sway bar is going to help a bunch with front end grip. Next mod after that will be a second set of 17x7" wheels with r-comps followed by AGX shocks.

Thank you Sir. I need to get even closer to some of those cones. I'm still a good 1-1.5' away.

That was a tight corner, so yeah body roll was significant.

My aren't we the puritan

Seriously, I'd go with the r-comps before the sway bar. Have you spoken to any fellow WRX'ers as to how their cars handled after adding just the larger front bar and street tires? More front end grip for sure, just might be interesting to find out if it doesn't come at the expense of more understeer....

Not trying to be a puritan, just 100% 'legal' for my class.

All the WRX autoXers recommend the larger fsb before going to agx shocks. Obviously r-comps are the most cost-effective upgrade to lower my times, but I don't have a spare $1,000 for an extra set of wheels and r-comps just yet.

Hey Tom,

I never said forever. Besides people kept goading me on to do power mods - those are on the back burner. I want to do every legal handling mod allowed in D-Stock.

Yup, it's a pretty big bar. Here's a few pics someone else took of the 29mm Whiteline bar compared to the stock 20mm one.

This is the difference in body roll people typically see with a large front sway bar -

My car at an autoX 2 weekends ago with the stock bar (late apex corner):

'06 WRX with bigger front sway bar:

The bar really keeps the front end level in tight corners and reduces the amount of 'dive' on the outside front wheel - which in turns the amount of unloading on the diagonally opposed rear wheel.
