Spit Shining Boots

I can somewhat do it...I can get them to shine but I want them to SHINE like mirrors. Anyone have any tips on what to do/use? Help!

So when you melt the wax...what does that accomplish? Do I apply it while it's still hot? Buff w/ water? I can get a decent shine the way I do it now, but I've seen people with much better looking boots.

It allows you to get more wax on the boot faster.
Yes, it will be in a liquidy type form.

And when its dry, moist buff till it shines.

I was the bed maker :-)

I can shine boots like crazy............don't look at them in the sun kinda shine.
I use only cotton balls to apply and buff off.
First, dampen a cotton ball and apply regular black wax. Then use a lighter to warm it up (just do little circles and make sure not to burn the leather) Then, take another damp cotton ball and buff it off. Do this oh.....say about 50 times on each boot and they will start looking good. Honestly, when I got my new boots, I probably had at least 7 good hours of shining in them before they started looking good. Finally, after you have a really good base of black wax on the boot, you can apply a top coat of parade gloss for the extra shine (although it scuffs real easy but it looks real nice). Hope this helps!
