Exclamation Heat on passenger side foot area and on driver's side

Hello everyone,

I've noticed that everytime I drive my car( 92 Ls-L with 78000 miles) I feel a lot of heat coming out by the foot pedals. The other day my friend was driving with me and he ask me If I had the heat on or something, so that's when I realized that I wasn't the only feeling the heat. Does anyone know what the problem might be and is it fixable, Thanks.

The SVX climate control system is designed to send Heat to the floor. Adjust your climate control to a cooler temperature and that should take care of it. If you are running in either econo or auto, the car will automatically adjust to the temperature you have set on your climate control disc. If it is set at 75 and ambient temperature is 55, the car will go into heat mode, which will send heat to the floor. The engineers who designed the SVX decided that heat to the upper vents dried out the eyes of the occupants on long trips (it was designed as a "Tourer" remember), so the SVX sends heat only to the floor. I think this should "fix" your "problem" although, it's doing what it was designed to do.
