Last year, there were 38 cars. This year, 48 have already signed up. If they bring the pace car, I'm sure more will show. The Hotel management invited us to have the meet at their location, so, I guess it's "sanctioned." Not to mention, the owner is an SVX owner.
As far as changing the location -- not for this meet. We've changed the dates, we've changed the hotel, we're not gonna change the location. That's as far as I'm willing to go in the change of tradition.

All other considerations aside, I think moving the meet to Cherry Hill will be received as the equivalent of moving the Green Bay Packers to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

That would be SUPER! Thanks for your work. I won't get my hopes up . . . yet. Let me know if a letter from the board of dir's of the SVX World Network would help. Mike, The Reading meet has NEVER been in Reading, but, at least, it's been in PA. .

I think holding the Reading Meet at SOA in Cherry Hill, NJ this year would be a terrific idea.
We could meet & stay in Reading at the Lancaster Holiday Inn. On early Sat. morning, we could leave for a 2 hr. drive to SOA. We can get there at 10-10:30 AM. Many NJ people could meet us there. We could all hob knob with SOA people. Tour SOA. Listen to the expected sales pitch. Then drive back to Reading for chow. I think that drive to cherry hill would be a blast with all the svx's... and it would get our drive in... AND it would be very fun to see SOA's place. I vote for that plan...

I have to admit that I am kind of keen on the idea of having the meet in Reading as planned but taking a day trip to SOA as an SVX convoy. It would be cool if we could tour the facilities and take home some swag compliments of SOA. It would be good publicity for them as well.
The one thing that could suck is for those who show up late to Reading after everyone has left for Cherry Hill. Has anyone thought of mentioning this whole thing in the "General Babble" forum? I do believe most don't even look at this forum to know what possibilities we are talking about. We should raise their awareness.

There is a redirect in the general forum to this thread. Posts about the Reading Meet should be in the "Reading Meet" forum.

I would be up for Larry's idea of driving to Cherry Hill.
