If Subaru says that it's good to go, then it's good to go. The maker of the product knows it better than anyone else Ever think that it was made in two heavy pieces because it's cheaper to? |

Re: GrimmSpeed crankshaft pulley?
Speculate until the interweb turns into Skynet and we all live underground, but as far as I'm concerned, there are much better ways to spend your performance dollar, and none of them involve the engine in naturally aspirated form.

I kept the stock pulley just in case I start throwing codes.. I was having the power steering pump swapped, they had the radiator out, I had my Perrin lightweight pulley from my impreza sitting in a box, I said if I'm going to do it, now is the time... For me it wasn't about trying to gain HP, just a part I paid for sitting unused in a box that might as well be in my SVX. |

Re: GrimmSpeed crankshaft pulley?
Gonna go with a Perrin lightweight pulley instead of a GrimmSpeed pulley. Perrin is based out of Hillsboro, OR, which is just next to where I live in Beaverton, OR. Nothing like getting an upgrade and supporting local business at the same time!

Re: GrimmSpeed crankshaft pulley?
I can't really add anything of significance as too the crank pulley being a simple pulley or combined external damper but from past experience I can attest to the OEM crank pulley separating. Not fun to have it let go. Didn't do any damage that I can remember but not having to worry about the pulley breaking is a plus.
