Need help on OEM strut part #'s

I am going to put OEM struts on my 92 SVX.
When I look up the struts on subaruparts.com, it shows 2 part numbers for each strut..

Front

Right:
20311PA000 Pt830593 Strut Cp
20311PA001 Pt830593 Strut Cp F
LEFT:
20311PA010 Pt830593 Strut Cp
20311PA011 Pt830593 Strut Cp F

Rears

Right:
20360PA001 Pt840593 Strut Cp R
20360PA000 Pt840593 Strut Cp
Left:
20360PA010 Pt840593 Strut Cp
20360PA011 Pt840593 Strut Cp R

When I look up struts on liberty Subaru they say they have 2 front left struts also, but they don't give part numbers..
Theirs say:
Strut from 9/92 Left
Strut to 9/92 Left

But they don't have a front "to 9/92 right", or either rear "to 9/92"..

So I guess what I need to know is can I use a "From 9/92" on my 92?
Or am I just SOL because I have a 92?

The part numbers the mechanics computer spit out to him are a match for the "From 9/92".
So I just need confirmation that they are going to fit before I order them, as my 92 has a manufacture date of 8/91..

Also, does anyone know if liberty Subaru in NJ still does discounts for SVXWN?

Re: Need help on OEM strut part #'s

The part numbers for the strut assemblies are 20311PA001 for the right front and 20311PA011 for the left front.

The right rear strut is 20360PA001 and the left rear strut is 20360PA011. These are cheaper.

The front struts have been modified to accept the new upper strut mounts, which were a problem in the early 1992's. You will have to replace these as well. The part numbers for these 20320PA011. All the new strut mounts have been modified

So your saying as long as I have the new mounts, the "From 9/92" will work?
Those are the ones in stock.

Re: Need help on OEM strut part #'s

Ok my parts are all finally in.

There has been debate on some of the numbers on struts and I would like to add mine to the debate.

Looking at the dates on the struts themselves, assuming they are YY/MM/DD, they are a few days before the stickers on the bag.
Which would make sense seeing they are made before they bagged and tagged.

Looks like they made a new run of rear struts in 2011.
Looks like they made a new run of fronts struts in 2012.

Parts purchased from Liberty Subaru in Emerson NJ.
Fronts were in stock, off their shelves.
Rears came to them via UPS from Subaru of America Indianapolis.

So for the price you paid you could have bought the coil overs.

www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=60228

Or you talking about the Taiwan ebay ones that take 4 months and had to be machined to fit and shipped missing parts..
www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=58974

Subaru OEM took 5 days and cost $775.. Thanks for your input though...

Re: Need help on OEM strut part #'s

Your sarcasm is duly noted, however I was talking about this thread

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=61487

yes they are the twain made set but after the correct dimensions were given he seems to have got it set up and in that thread I linked to the base price is about $800, shipping is $200 I think.
If what is written is to be believed 6 weeks is expected delivery.

Re: Need help on OEM strut part #'s

Car goes in for the work today at 8am, I will let you know.
Yours seems to be in good shape, the bearings in mine are shot, the pulley on your used one spins smooth.
The timing on meeting you turned out perfect, by the time I got to the dealer in NJ the UPS guy was just unloading my parts.
By the time I got home from NJ, my kevlar/teflon rod end shipment from QS components was in my door waiting for me from my UPS guy.

Re: Need help on OEM strut part #'s

I have a new front right tire, all 4 struts, front and rear strut mounts, engine mounts, used steering pump, and lightweight crank pulley, and QS component rod ends installed.
All that seem to be working fine, car is alined and everything is in spec now.
I had them chop the mounts and lower the PWR radiator to use the PWR cap because they had to pull it to do the crank pulley anyways...

Now the bad news..
They said they couldn't tell until they had everything else fixed, but now that all that is fixed and they got up above 50mph there is vibration in the steering wheel.
They decided it is the right front axle is shot..

So now far as suspension goes I have replaced the struts, mounts, ball joints, tie rod ends, and front swaybar end links, and now the right front axle..
Previous owner had the left one replaced in 2008, noticed it when going through the stacks of records that came with the car.

It is a good thing I love this car...

Anyone want to guess what will be broken next when they put in the new axle?
I gave the guy a new axle nut, his response was "ok, will use it if we need to".
I am hoping he meant if the axle he ordered doesn't come with one..

So the fun part:
New front mount next to the mount removed from my SVX:

Old engine mount:

Rear strut mounts were not as bad I expected, when I saw the fronts, I thought these would come off in pieces:

Re: Need help on OEM strut part #'s

Looks like the rear mounts were replaced at some point. They're in good shape.
