NZ new SVX at Rotorua dismantler

I called into a dismantler in Rotorua today and had a good look over his NZ new SVX being pulled apart.
It's in a sad state of affairs. Every panel is dented and all glass is broken.
Most of the interior has been removed.
Glass headlights are intact.
Bonnet jammed shut, but engine & trans appear to be in place.

I took a load of photos which I will upload soon.

Re: NZ new SVX at Rotorua dismantler

Hey Shane, I wonder how much for the AC display/controller, mine is playing up & I want to do a PnP with another - I suspect that the electrolyic caps are drying up in mine, so if I can swap some in another then I would not have any down-time.

Also noticed that it used to have the front headlight washers, wonder if the piping / switch etc is still inside the car ?

Re: NZ new SVX at Rotorua dismantler

I've been thinking about your a/c display. I made a start on pulling mine out, but it looks like quite a bit more than just the display module has to be removed first to get to it. When I have some time spare I'll have a crack at pulling it out of my parts car.

I didn't notice if the rest of the washer system was intact. One of the nozzles had been removed. I recall all the dash switchgear was intact. But I don't know where the washer switch is.

It had a switch for heated side mirrors. Interesting because on my JDM which had heated side mirrors they are operated by the rear demister switch.

I suspect the dismantler would set their pricing based on how much time it will take to remove the parts. Getting around the car was difficult and the bonnet is jammed shut. So I suspect parts won't be cheap. They may be open to allowing you to BYO tools and DIY dismantle.

Other option is one of us buys the whole wreck and stores it.
