will 245/40/18 fit

Looking at some Yokohama S Drive 245/40/18 tires on Craigslist that seem to be a good deal. Will they fit the SVX? I had been searching for either a 245/35/18 or 225/40/18 but those sizes appear to be scarce.

What offset are the wheel? They're a bit taller than stock. You may get some rubbing in the rear depending on the condition of your rear suspension (if it's soft or sagging).

Not sure of the offset but the wheels are from a 07 Subaru Tribeca.

Looking at another tire Dunlop 8000 in 245/45/18. Between the Dunlop and Yokohama S drive, any preference?

I wouldn't go as tall as 45... That's ~2" taller than your OEM tire size. 245/40 should be a good fit on Tribeca wheels, I believe they're 8" wide.

I'd go with the Yokohama S Drive. I have the W Drive for winter.

Re: will 245/40/18 fit

Put on the S drive and they fit with no problem but it is close to the strut. Only problem is I used the original chrome lug nuts from the SVX and they are too long to fit the center caps for the Tribeca rims. Should I just buy generic short lug nuts from the parts store since the cap will cover them or buy Tibeca/aftermarket tuner nuts?
