electrical issue

ok so i finished the 5spd swap, but during the course of installing the pedals i seem to have lost my tail lights, not the brake lights they work fine, but the tail lights are out as well. huck i didn't unplug the wires when i dropped the column so yeah help please i really can't be driving around with no lights. also 10 points to tom as the turn signals don't work, but i believe that i broke the relay

Look for a large 22 pole white connector, situated on the interior side of engine bulkhead. This connects the wiring to the rear. You may have upset the connections.

Check fuse No. 5, in case something was, or is, shorted to ground.

Jeff,
The piece you broke was the "Flasher" for the turn signals...I broke the one on my first SVX when i did the first 5-speed swap....

I can't think of anything you should have done to mess up the tail lights....other than the switch connectors at the base of the column...

ok so it turns out i'm a dumb ass. turns out that the taillights run through the parking light switch mounted on the flaring under the steering wheel which i hadn't installed. so no lights, any way just thought i'd post what caused this issue incase anyone runs into it in the future.

Hahaha, I had the same problem with my car. I was taking apart the steering column and hadn't finished before I had to run and pick up my sister, so I just left the parking switch thing unplugged thinking I'd be fine since the headlights came on and all. Wrong, got pulled over for no tail-lights.

Later found out the same thing you did, that they are wired through the parking light switch... lame...
