Cool The " Italian- ferrari" look on a SVX

Hi, I have a red 1995 SVX LSI. I call it my little ferrai because all my friends say it looks like one a little one and sounds like on, I have my resonator removed. I decided I want to make my SVX look as much as I can to look like an Italian exotic. My mods that I thought of that would help me do this is: 1. Stebro exhaust- more ferrari sound and tips look nice.
2. Euro front bumper- A lot of italian exotics have big opening in the bottom of their front bumper just like this one, plus it does not look as asian as the other for sale.
4. Small car clear lights and corner light- more modern look.
5. Paint my calipers red
6. New 5 spoke rims
7. Planetsvx.com Fiberglass hood with built in hood scoop. I thought this would make a more italian look since the hood scoop is not to big like on a few of the modern day ferraries and other exotics.
A picture that is close to this look with out the hood is a www.severedperformance.com/products.html
Can some please try to photchop with the hood. Please offer me your opinoins or more ideas you think of. I know this car is not a ferrari but I would rather try to make it look more Italian style than another Japanese coupe. I have no plans on doing this. I just thoght of the idea by my friends and thogh it was kinda cool. Thanks

Pretending isn't cool in my opinion. Just look at this guy:

Pretend BMW

Be proud of the SVX's heritage, design, and rarity. Adding a bunch of stuff that makes it look like it's trying to be a ferrari won't be very cool, in most peoples eyes.

I am not trying to make it look like a exact model of some ferrari. I just want to give it a more Italian look then what is it already. I know stock that it already looks Italian and all I want to do it to use the options for the SVX that are out there for sale and combine them to make my car look more exotic. I basicially want people who pass my car think in their head " is that some type of italian exotic". Not make it look like a honda civic with universal parts. I like the heritage and all the original stuff about the SVX, but I heard it is o.k. to be unique. Besides this is just a thoght If I eventually get enough money for it all.

Another little detail I like is the Design Giugiaro badges I bought from Maserati. A nice touch.

Hi RED FERRARI,

I think that what you want to do will look tasteful and make the your car one of a kind. Enjoy it.

Take care.

I agree with Mr. commuter. All listed upgrades(with the exception, IMO of the hood scoop) look to be in good taste. Go for it!!

You might want to use Earle's car as a good example

Also, look at Earl's Laguna Blue which has the C/F hood (painted) in conjuntion with Steve's front bumper.

Personally, I like the hood with the built in scoop. It isn't too showy, and it doesn't look like a crappy tak on one. It gives the front end that much needed extra "flare" to match the back end. However, I think it makes it look more like a Subaru, not less.

When money allows, I plan on the same aesthetic mods... already have the bumper (not on the car, though).

Hummm I wonder how that "black" carbon fiber hood would look on a pearly? How about with a white wing? That would stand out.

I also saw the smallcar.com new svx grill and thoght that looked really good with the stock bumper. Maybe all my car needs is that in the front to look better there.

That smallcar grill looks sweet but has never been built. Several members claim that the picture they have posted is just a 'good' photoshop image. Either way, that grill has been 'coming soon' for years...

P.S. That '93 Barcelona Red SVX of Earl's looks HOT! It'll definitely turn heads like a Ferrari wherever it goes...
