Planning for Canberra?

G'Day All, been busy lately, but I'm back
Back on 25th Feb, Moshols was talking about Canberra on the 7th to9th May
http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...light=canberra
This is something to do with Subaru and Rally Australia (I think )
Does anyone have any more plans or arrangements for this weekend?
Arthur.

Thumbs up Sounds very interesting

Well this could be the one and only time to get a full roll out happening. Considering that JAMES will be leaving our shores probably around then (if I am correct) perhaps he might like to come on a commemorative run. Be prepared to turn up the stereos to drown out the incessant sobbing coming from the car he is in and ensure that the car travelling behind his has replaced the wiper blades (to account for the hydrant like gushes of splashing tears)
Bring the video cameras for the long freeway sections!!!

So Moshols, can you shed any light on this?

Cheers, Mark.

How about it James? Are you up for it?

Don't worry - I have just replaced my wiper blades!

I'm out of here in mid June so depending on the date, then I would be able to come (especially if a Sunday - I have classes on 2 Saturday's in May)

And I'll cry on the inside!!

Moving!

Hollo

I was heaps keen for canberra but am unfortunately moving this weekend so am unable to go. I changed jobs a few weeks ago, hence my absence. New job is mad but i'm sharing a computer with someone for the next week. Sorry Jason but i'm not in the city anymore so no more Monday arvo bridge runs

Has any1 resided their svx by the sea & how was rust? I'm moving to the beach in a place with no garage. I'm tempted to leave svx at my parents in the garage and drive my sisters gemini..... Do cars only rust if they have exposed bits under paint? Should i start to wash it more than once/week?

Hey guys!

This weekend may be do-able. Will we be staying overnight, or just enjoying the long drive with the return trip?

I have to work Saturday night until midnight, so I am only available if it's a Sunday, and can arrange to come.

P.S. Go to the mods forum and read the thread laballed something like 'ECU tuning, superchargers, turbochargers...' You may find yourself interested in a performance tuned ECU!!

P.P.S I will be placing an order with www.motorsportwarehouse.com soon for a JDM hood emblem and possibly a new front spoiler. If anyone else is interested in getting some imported goods we could really save on import costs. Keep it in mind...

Hope to see you all again soo...

Paul

awww

wish i could go this weekend, i haven't seen a (nice) svx in ages.

I saw a grey one in manly about 3 weeks ago and sat in the carpark until the car next to it left then i parked alongside. we both had svx--- plates. Problem was it looked like it had been in an all over body encounter with a truck or train. I wrote a note and left for a few hours and when i returned it was still there. I then removed the note cuz i figured a beaten up svx wouldn't want to go cruising anyway.

I am seeing some nice cars on the work journey now that i'm working on the other side of Sydney. Lots of skylines etc but no svxs as of yet.

Paulie i could do with some svx mods! will get back to you when i decide, even if its just some stickers....

Was the grey SVX a dark grey like my ex and did it have aftermarket rims?? Alternatively, what was the full rego since I left a note on one that sounds very similar about 8 months ago...I was in the Camry and thought someone had stolen my car since I saw grey SVX + SVX plates and instantly my heart jumped!!

OK, well it looks like it's gonna rain (not that it should worry us) and I've had something come up, so I wont be going down either.
Had a chat to
Reece who is busy preparing to go O/S, but maybe we should look into a drive down that way when he gets back later in the year?

It seems that I am in the same position!

By the way - has anybody checked the news today? It seems that the world crude oil price has hit a 14 year high!!!

It looks like it will cost a bit more from now on to fill up the SVX.........!!

Arthur.

I can do it in 13 minutes and 49.55 seconds. Trouble is they can change the price at the pump in less than 5 minutes.
