Annyoying Problems!

Has anyone had trouble with the front window washer fluid on the SVX. None will come out when i press on the button, but the wipers still move. I checked in the pipe to see if it was leaking, but still nothing. Any suggestions, and the 2 holes at the top are not clogged i just stuck a thin needle down them to make sure of it. Also I was wondering if any people were having trouble with their CEL. Could it be the 02 sensor? Thanks

Is the pump working? Does it buzz when you press the button. It may be shot, or just clogged. Sometimes "gunk" gets into the screen. Also, the connectors to the pump, going into the reservoir could simply be oxydized -- might try cleaning them first.

Of course, I have a brand new washer pump in my trunk -- still in the box -- from where I kept pulling back on the stalk (mist function) thinking it was the wash function. When I figured it out, boy, did I feel foolish. Anyhoo, the pump is relatively inexpensive. They have them at Autozone for about five bucks. I'm sorry, but, I don't understand the term "CEL" -- can't help you there.

I just assumed he meant Check Engine Light. BTW-don't feel bad about the washer thing...I've had to edjacate more than a few people on that one. (Why is it that people will pay 30k for a car and not spend a few hours perusing the owners manual?)

Now don't take this the wrong way, cause I'm just teasing you...I've always heard that there are no toopid questions, only toopid answers. But I think you may have just changed my mind on that theory.

Trouble is, I had read the owner's manual. The first day I had the car, I sat on the . . . uh . . . in the library and read it cover to cover. Y'know how, when you sit and read a long time and you go to stand up and you can't feel your legs? Well, anyway . . . it had just been too long between the time I read it and the time I needed them.
