immediate help
i'm at the last lenths of my 5spd swap but i still have no clue what to do with the pedals, i read the how-to but for me its not too clear of how to position it....
if i place the clutch pivot on the other side of the wiring harness it gets in the way of the gas pedal and between the brake and the gas pedal the brake booster is in the way.... please help

I remember reading in one of the how-tos something about using a wrx brake booster for some extra space.

I'm not sure. The pedals I have which are from a 6-speed swapped svx have the clutch pivot on the gas pedal side. I think the key is that you have to do something with the gas pedal. Tom's write-up reads: "34. Install modified gas pedal" Look at the picture on page 5 of it. I don't find this write up in the new how-to docs, so I've attached it for reference. Also a picture that shows a gas pedal from someone's 6-speed swap in the past.

It was in the old how-to docs, and I guess it didn't get moved over with the rest of them. I had it saved though. Does that help?

let me get this straight.... that wiring harness that comes through the firewall with the big grommet it just the TCU wires?
so thats removed and a plate put in place and the master cylinders mounted over top....?

another thing is what modification needs to be done to the gas pedal, i was thinking of just putting in a spacer and a longer bolt cause the pivot rod still comes across it, other than that i'm done my 5spd swap
To verify the measurement its is exactly 2" to extend the driveshaft.
