Part of our problem Steve is the reluctance of RHD owners to confirm or deny what colours they have on their cars, or indeed any specific information about the SVXes they own!

You are the undoubted exception to that general reluctance, and thank you for the help.

As information becomes available we will update the charts. Anybody wishing to let us know what OEM colours or codes or Trim codes they have, please let us know, we will include your help.

Thanks,

Joe
What info is needed? is it just this- or is there more needed?

VIN NUMBER = JF1CXWUE05G004004
APPLIED MODEL = CXWDU7E
OPTION CODE = BK
TRIM CODE = 520
COLOR CODE = 559
ENGINE TYPE = EG33DGX2DL
TRANSMISSION TYPE = TZ102YP1CA

BUILD PLATE (ON "B" PILLAR PASSENGER SIDE) - STATES "BUILT DEC 1994"
but the car was first registered (NZ New) in October 1995

If you can provide what Stephen has given above that would be really great.

Most of this information is on the VIN plate on the suspension turret under the bonnet on the LHS.

On the UK cars I have here there is no build date showing. It seems to be regulatory in the USA, but apparently not necessary in all markets. If you have a plate with that info, please include it. It is interesting to match build dates with the number series.

Thanks Trevor.

I had formed the impression that you had a liquid silver car, but I have been wrong on that. I see yours is Claret and Black.

My first SVX was Claret, from Japan, and I loved it. Mine was basic spec Version E. No sunroof, no cruise, no abs, but it did have auto aircon, and very well it worked too.

Nice one!
