Thumbs up BOXER cover

If you do find out about the "BOXER" cover, let us know. I sent the japaneseparts.com site an e-mail requesting info on it, but never got a reply.

BTW, Paul - the BOXER cover is pictured in the R&T Guide as one of the prototype engine intake covers. Someone else is supposed to have one over here in the states, and apparently that design was used on the japanese models.
It could be just a rumour though . . .

Put me down for a hood ornament, also.

Thumbs up BOXER cover

Paul, I haven't got my scanner working at home yet, so I'll try to take a digital picture. If that doesn't pan out, I'll scan the pic at work Monday.

In the meantime, it's basically the same cover that sits toward the rear of the engine, where ours says "H-6", the other one says "BOXER".

There was a guy at the Reading Meet last year that had one of the "Boxer" covers. Also, a person in (I think) New Zealand who has a Japanese Spec car says the "Boxer" cover came on their car. Soo . . . no rumor. 'Tis true -- I saw the one in Reading, first hand. And, if you want to see more than three or four SVXes in one place at one time, you should come to the meet (April 6-8, Holiday Inn, Morgantown PA -- See the "MEET ALERT" thread for details).

hood ornament

I would also go in for the hood ornament. I've had those awful paint chips on my hood touched up 3 times now, and it may be time this summer to get the whole hood repainted. Might as well put a stylish new svx badge on at the same time.

While I'm on the subject, any pointers on hood repainting? Also, did that c/f hood order ever come to fruition?

Question c/f hood details

I may very well want to get in on the hood purchase. Let me see if I have the details right: ~$625 delivered, and it includes a scoop? The only other question that I would have before confirming an order would regard the c/f surface. I assume that most people who are in on the order like the c/f look, and don't plan on painting the hood. I might fall into that category as well, but I wouldn't be sure until I saw it. Does anyone know if c/f body parts take well to a professional paint job?

Exclamation BOXER cover

Paul - I sent you an e-mail of a scan I made of the BOXER engine cover. Hope it will do, the pic was smaller than I thought.

Other SVX spoilers

I noticed that on some japenese svx web sites, they have larger stock spoilers. Has anyone found out about how to get one of those. I kinda think my stock spoiler is to low.
