Can someone tell me is this hard to install?
My security system is toast or something... I have 5 security modules, and no security system. So how do these work? Are they hard to install? Anyone on here done it before? I would like to get my alarm back, and keyless entry...

All those wires confuse me already!
 Can't you just pickup a stock SVX security module, plug it in, and call it a day?

New to electrical stuff? I'm not sure I'd chance it. With remote start and everything included, it'll keep you busy. I've got nearly all of my wiring worked out, but some things still escape me, and I consider myself pretty good with the electrics in a car.
Still, I'd hate to have a 19 year old trying to prove himself at an install shop under the dash of such an unusual car... I don't want to know what the results would be of the frustration of removing the glovebox!

I gave up on it... Only put in half the screws because I was removing it so much. My car didnt even come with one. I dont even open it, its never opened right since I got everything for it.
So is there anything else in the security system that could cause it not to work? The switch maybe??

Does the light come on? Does it even respond when you try to use the remote?

Well I dont have a remote, so that I couldnt tell you. The light has never came on. No matter which module is in it, I never see the flashing red light. I thought maybe it was out, but I tried to arm it, and open the door to let it start to go off, but nothing.

I bought the exact same system a few weeks ago, I went to his ebay store and bought it for $38.00. My son installed it, but stopped with the remote door locks and security system...he said that's all this system does, non of the other stuff like remote start and starter kill was included even thought the box said it. I have no complaints, I'm glad to have the remote locks and security. He did complain that "there wasn't much room under there for it". Took him about an hour... he's a mechanic.

Well I really dont care about anything else but the alarm and the remote door locks. That would have been all that I installed anyways.

The factory alarm has starter kill or something that disables the engine when armed, doesn't it?
