loose hose?!

there is a hose coming out of the black cylindrical thing to the left of the radiator. The hose is coming out of the bottom and I just realized that it is connected to nothing. Is there something it should be connected to? Also, I have no idea what the black cylindrical object is so please forgive me. If I need to be more descriptive I will try.
Thanks, Dave

Re: loose hose?!

Some kind of evaporation canister*. There's a few threads like this asking about it.

Re: loose hose?!

one hose just pushes into a hole below the mcanister... I believe it is part of the frame or some tough metal thing ...right below the canister.

Re: loose hose?!

Thanks for the replys.. there was something else in that hole and I dont think that it would fit. Does it need to be in there? Also my hands are too fat to reach down there and push it in even if it would fit

Re: loose hose?!

That's just the drain tube for the charcoal canister, it doesn't hook to anything, but it's normally stuck into the frame to keep water out or something.
