random check engine light

So i was getting on the highway this morning and all the sudden my check engine light comes on. so i call my resident mechanic and he cant trouble shoot it, but as soon as i accelerate up to the speed limit it turn off. I have never seen that before. Now I have been using racetrack and QT gas for the last few weeks in this car and had to go the schell this morning cause the racetrack was out of premiuim.

any suggestions on what caused this?

How to -> Electrical -> codes
