Looks like off to Mr Bridgestone for 2 more then....I don't think Cassie will be happy getting two tires as a Christmas present!!

Gee, sorry I spoke
When I bought my SVX, I figured I would have to replace the tyres within a few months as looking from the outside they appeared fairly worn.
It was only after crawling under the rear (not that easy ) that I noticed the extent of wear (see attachment )
These (both rear) and the shot transmission explain my low purchase price.
On a lighter note, it seems I will now only be a pedestrian for 21 days
The scabs on my knees should heal by then and I'm trying to wash the taste out of my mouth
Looking forward to the next run.

A top run up here is from Grafton up the Gwydir Hwy to Armidale, party, then down the Oxley Hwy back to the coast. We used to do it on bikes up one day down the next. About 200 K of mountain twisties. Top run.

Just got to lookout for the fuggan cattle trucks.

That sounds like a good reason to get a few cars together over a weekend. Is there any interest in having a run to Coffs Harbour then heading out over the range?. I could be tempted down that way.

Well, went and put new tires on the front to match the rears - someone will have to have a less expensive chrissy present now!!

Tire guy said that the differential in diameter and need to change all 4 at once was a load of cobblers (he was a bit more colourful) and said applied primarily to REX's.

I thought $308 for the piece of mind....worth it!!
