One less thing to get done before Reading...

I was talking about it for some time but I've finally put in the effort and got it done this weekend.

Here's a pic:

Congrats on finally filling up the tank passed half full. However, you'll need more than that to get to Reading.
See you there, David!

Ron.

Are you saying that to keep up with you we all need to put make-up on our steering wheels? Uhm. Pretty trendy, Dude.

I think the candy apple red key is a winner. Does it have the SVX logo on it ? How much are you selling them for?

You're all a bunch of smarta$$es...but I know we wouldn't have it any other way

The tranny temp gauge is definitely not a perfect fit as there is not quite enough mounting depth behind the dash. I also had to remove the casing for the gauge as well. There is one screw that's supposed to hold that side of the dash on. I found no way to reuse that screw as the gauge must be mounted to the dash panel before the panel can be reinstalled. I'm relying on the clips to keep the panel in place. (Seems to be doing a good job so far).

As for the wiring I just used a flat style 4 wire trailer connector so that it's easier to remove in the future and it's not hard wired. I may change it in the future using a y-splitter for use inside computer cases for supplying power to all the drives.

The gauge (for those who don't know is from Dakota Digital.

When I put gas in the SVX I either fill the tank or drain my wallet...whichever comes first. I figure 4 full tanks of gas to get there if I'm gentle (~2500kms/1550miles).

My steering wheel doesn't look that bad in person (stupid camera). It is severely worn out though. It was worn when I bought it. It seems to get better with the leather conditioner I keep putting on it.

The key belongs to the aftermarket alarm system that was installed also before I bought it. I don't like the system...seems to arm itself sometimes unprevoked. I suppose that now the "Direkt Start" logo has worn off I could put on an "SVX" logo
