RH Drive Legacy..How rare here in the states?
How rare is a RH drive Legacy here in the states? I work for Goodwill Columbus Auto Auction here in Columbus Ohio and we just received a RH drive Legacy donation last week. I briefly seen it the other day and didn't look too bad at first look. Maybe this coming week I will get a chance to check it out and see how it runs and such. I thought I would let the good people of this site know about it Words of advice...our auction cars usually sell rather cheaply. Some great bargains! If there is any interest, just let me know. I can get you the VIN and check out more specifics. Just let me know. Thanks!

RHD Subarus in the U.S.
There are more than a few RHD Subarus in the U.S. I'm surprised that one got out of the company's clutches, however. In the late '80s and early '90s, Subaru would regurlarly bring in a JDM model and pass it out for journalists to drive and report on. During that period, I drove a RHD WRX, before there was a U.S. model, a Legacy Turbo, a 360cc Micro class car and a couple of others. Except for the Micro, the company would receive a chorus of "we want it - NOW" as each car was returned. They were far quicker than the U.S. models and lots of fun to drive. Eventually we got the WRX, and the Legacy Spec 5 is better than that Legacy Turbo was, but they were a ton of fun at the time, and better than a lot of what was on the road with them.

Not too rare actually. Especially if its a wagon. SOA makes RHD base leg wagons for rural mail carriers. In my county alone, there are about 6 mail wagons. I'd say, if your're in an urban area, they'd be a skosh more rare.

I saw one here in San Antonio about a year ago, and yeah it was a mail carriers car.
