Pics of the racer are now up

Don't look if your a purist, but please remember that I have a complete, bone stock SVX sans Konis and a tranny cooler in the garage. This car would never have made it back to the road after being parted for 6 months.

Its windy here. The struts hold but with 40mph gusts I don't trust 'em. I'll sell it too ya for $20 plus shipping though if you want it.

It'll be an E Prepared autoxer this year to get sorted out, then we hope to move to Solo 1 events (hill climbs, etc). My ultimate dream is the rally Newfondland but to make that a reality WE NEED SPONSORS!!!

Ben,
You need to remove the airbag, it weighs about 5 pounds, plus you can sell it on here to help fund your mods.....

I figure it'll run nicely with that "stock" 325i . It isn't just me. Quickly after getting the car I realized it was gonna be beyond my abilities currently. Hocrest is in on it too.

Already working on that. Hocrest pulled one from a Legacy this past weekend. He just hasn't made it down yet with that and the ECU. Plus he needs to read my manuals to tell me how to take this one off.

Just 4 torx bits (with a hole in them) to remove the airbag, then unplug it, you can run the SVX steering wheel without the airbag

Ken,
I would agree with you IF it had been a road worthy vehicle, however since it was destined for the scrap yard, I think this is a much better fate!

Looks a lot like the one that is stripped down in my garage Ben. It however is a junker not a racecar

Told you not to look at it. Keep in mind that all the real historic cars from the MGTD through the 911 all have had factory teams doing the same thing and then of course the amatures. This was a parts car, now it is becoming a race car. Lets just hope she'll start.

Anybody know how to take out the quiet steel that lines the rear seat, trunk and tranny tunnel? From my understanding is there is some sort of insulation in between it and the unibody and this steel is only there to make it quieter, like the new Ford PUs.
